EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
How does the subscription work?
Your box ships on the same date each month (or every 4, 6, or 8 weeks). You'll get an email 5 days before your box ships so you can swap cuts, skip the month, or update your address. Cancel anytime from your dashboard — no phone calls, no runaround.
Will my beef arrive frozen?
Yes — guaranteed. Every box ships with dry ice in an insulated liner, vacuum-sealed within 24 hours of processing. If your order arrives thawed, contact us and we'll reship the entire order at no charge. Pro tip: put the box straight into your freezer, then thaw cuts in the refrigerator 24–48 hours before cooking.
What does "sprout-finished" mean?
Sprout-finishing is a proprietary feed protocol developed by the Orr family. Cattle are raised on open grass pasture and finished on a specially sprouted grain and legume blend. This produces exceptional marbling and flavor depth while maintaining the nutrient density of grass-finished beef. The result is measurably higher omega-3 content and a noticeably better-tasting steak. It's unique to Plainview.
How can I verify your lab claims?
Go to our Lab Results page — it's in the main nav. You'll find full third-party lab reports, including testing for hormone residues, antibiotic residues, heavy metals, and nutritional composition. Real reports from accredited labs. We encourage you to read them and compare against any competitor before buying.
Can I customize which cuts I get?
Yes. After your first box, you can swap individual cuts from your account dashboard before each shipment. Our boxes are curated monthly by our ranch team, but you're always in control of exactly what arrives in yours
What is the Plainview Promise?
If any cut doesn't meet your expectations — taste, texture, anything — contact us and we'll replace it free. No return shipping required. We've never had a subscriber leave because of a quality issue we didn't make right.
